Registration deadline: May 22. Students can register through the link in our Summer 2026 Studio Announcements.
Performances will be split into three 60-minute sessions beginning at 12:30pm, 1:45pm, & 3pm. Space will be limited to 25 performers per session, and there will be a $40 recital fee per performer. Please note that no refunds can be given after the registration deadline
All current Plumrose students and their families are welcome to attend, even if they choose not to perform this time!

Winter Recital 2025
Winter 2025 Recital
Save the date for our 2025 Winter Studio Recital on Saturday, December 6th, at Forest Hill Christian Church (250 Laguna Honda Blvd., SF). The performances will be split into three sessions beginning at 1:45pm, 3pm, and 4:30pm.
Space will be limited to 25 performers per session, and a $35 recital fee will be added to each performer's next tuition invoice following the date of confirmed registration (non-refundable after Nov 22). Each will be followed by a short reception.
Performer spots are first-come, first-served. The recital will also be on Facebook Live for friends and family who cannot attend in person.

We are proud to be a sponsor of Flower Piano 2025, the 10th Anniversary of this wonderful event at the San Francisco Botanical Gardens! Bring your picnic blanket and join us in the Redwood Grove for performances by both PPS teachers and students on Saturday, 9/13 from 2-3pm.

Piano Masterclass with Ichko Batnasan
We’re excited to offer our intermediate and advanced students a special opportunity to participate in a Masterclass led by our senior instructor, Ichko Batnasan! This session is open to students at CM Level 4 and above. Speak to your teacher to find out more about participation!
Tuition: Two (2) 30-minute makeup credits or $114/student. (If combined, remaining tuition will be prorated after makeup credits are applied.)
About Ichko:
Ichinkhorloo Batnasan is an internationally recognized piano educator and performer with over a decade of teaching and performance experience across Mongolia, Spain, and the United States. She is celebrated for her dedication to cultivating musical excellence and for her exceptional ability to prepare students for success on the world stage. Ichko’s own performance career includes honors in international competitions throughout USA, Europe and Asia, solo appearances with orchestra, and numerous solo and chamber recitals. Fluent in Mongolian and English, she is dedicated to creating an inclusive and inspiring learning environment for students of diverse backgrounds.
PPS Composer Competition
We’re excited to re-launch our PPS Composer Competition this summer! Students of all levels are invited to showcase their talents and creativity by writing their own original piano compositions. Students will work one on one with their teacher to create an original piece of music that matches the theme (including notating and performing). Compositions will be judged by Senior Teachers Abby Baker, Jason Zucker, and Ichko Batnasan.
Three winners will be selected and will receive:
Five printed & bound copies of their piano composition
$50 gift card to musicnotes.com
Composition debut at the Fall Studio Recital
Photo recognition at the studio
And the first place winner will also receive
Free one (1) hour long private composition lesson with Matthew Cmiel, Director of the John Adams Young Composers Program at The Crowden School.

2025 Spring Recital
Mark your calendars for our in-person 2025 Spring Studio Recital on Saturday, 3/15 at Forest Hill Church (250 Laguna Honda Blvd, SF)!

There will be a limit of 15-25 performers per session depending on repertoire length, and space is first-come, first-served. The Spring Recital will also include our annual student achievement awards and will be followed by a short reception after each session. Recital Fee: $30 per performer (non-refundable after Feb 24th).

Performances will be split into two 75-minute sessions beginning at 2:45pm & 4pm. Space will be limited to 20 performers per session. Fall 2024 Four-Hand Workshop Series
Our next Four-Hand Piano Workshop series will take place from October 6-November 17 at our Laurel Heights studio! These workshops provide students with an opportunity to explore the collaborative experience of playing with a duo partner and to explore the artistry of four-hand piano repertoire! Duo partners can be requested by students (for example, a sibling, parent, or friend); otherwise they will be assigned based on similar age/level as appropriate.
The Fall 2024 Four-Hand Piano workshop includes four (4) bi-weekly 45-minute sessions held on Sundays between 10am-3pm. Each pair of duo partners will have coachings by one of our excellent studio teachers and the option to perform at an upcoming studio performance.

Plumrose Presents is thrilled to present pianist Jason Zucker in a private recital for the Plumrose studio community. Jason will be performing a unique program of his original compositions for piano and synthesizers, along with arrangements by the greats such as Duke Ellington, Stevie Wonder, and John Coltrane. These one-hour classes will provide 3-5 students the opportunity to share music in a small group of supportive peers and is an ideal step in preparing for a live or recorded performance. One of our studio teachers will work with students to polish repertoire, refine performance technique, and incorporate opportunities to strengthen skills in ear-training and knowledge of concert etiquette.
Studio Classes are suitable for school-aged students in 3rd grade and up, and strongly recommended for those who are participating in Certificate of Merit Evaluations. Studio Class IV will include theory & ear training review for CM levels 6-8.
Tuition: $75 or 1 Makeup Lesson Credit

These one-hour classes will provide 3-5 students the opportunity to share music in a small group of supportive peers and is an ideal step in preparing for a live or recorded performance. One of our studio teachers will work with students to polish repertoire, refine performance technique, and incorporate opportunities to strengthen skills in ear-training and knowledge of concert etiquette.
