Part-Time Associate Piano Teacher
Our San Francisco-based Piano Studio is looking for an additional Part-Time Associate Piano Teacher to join our team!
At Plumrose Piano Studio, our instructors work together in a collaborative teaching environment to continually share best practices as teachers, and exchange creative teaching tools and ideas to ensure that each student is supported and engaged in their music study. We believe in a holistically-minded teaching approach that aims to develop confidence, creativity, initiative, and perseverance in each student, and encouraging the unique talents of each student so that they can achieve their individual musical goals.
Our Associate Piano Teacher will be provided with:

-3-5 teaching days per week, depending on the Teacher’s availability
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance, Collaborative Piano, or Music with emphasis in Piano
- Exceptional communication skills
- Self-motivated and energetic
- Able to keep a consistent weekly schedule
- Reliable and on-time
Preferred:
- Master's Degree in Piano Performance, Collaborative Piano, or Music with emphasis in Piano
- Available to teach at least 2-3 days
- At least 1 year of previous teaching experience
Responsibilities:
- Teach one-on-one private piano lessons to children, teenagers, and/or adults, online and in-studio
- Encourage progress in lessons by building a positive relationship with each student and their families
- Assist in preparing students for studio events and performances
- Communicate regularly with team to review curriculum and ways to improve student learning
Compensation:
$45-55/hour for one-on-one lessons
$90-110/hour for studio classes and workshops

Preschool Piano Class Instructor
Plumrose Piano Studio is seeking a patient, fun, and enthusiastic Preschool Piano Class Instructor to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and early childhood development.

Requirements:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Music or Music Education, or equivalent coursework
-Exceptional communication skills
-Self-motivated, and energetic
-Organized, reliable and on-time
-Able to keep a consistent weekly schedule
Preferred:
-At least 1-year of experience in early-childhood education
-Experience teaching piano
-Fluent English-speaker
Responsibilities:
-Teach small group piano classes (6:1 ratio) for preschool-aged children at the Laurel Heights studio in San Francisco.
-Commit to teaching weekly lessons on Saturdays and/or Sundays for a minimum of 4 hours.
-Work with the Assistant Director to create and implement an appropriate preschool piano curriculum.
-Organize materials and supplies for classes as needed.
-Provide regular updates to the Assistant Director or Director.
-Provide a warm, encouraging, and educational environment for children aged 3-5.
-Develop and maintain a positive rapport with students and families.
Compensation:
$75-100/hour, DOE
