PPS Summer Piano Camps

PPS Summer Piano Day Camps are designed for students ages 8-12 with at least one year of piano experience who want to build creativity, technique, and confidence at the piano in a fun, collaborative environment. Each week includes small-group instruction, ensemble playing, listening activities, games, and a relaxed end-of-week sharing for families.

Creativity at the Keyboard

Dates:
Session Week I - July 6–10
Session Week III - July 20–24
Focus: Jazz, pop, and improvisation
Ages: 8–12
Prerequisite: At least one year of piano study (group or private)
Tuition: $800 per week

Description:
This session invites students to explore the piano as a creative instrument. Campers will be introduced to jazz and pop styles, improvisation, and collaborative music-making through hands-on activities, listening, and group lessons.

Piano Camp: Foundations & Friends

Dates:
Session Week II - July 13–17
Session Week IV - July 27–31
Focus: Technique, musical form, and composition
Ages: 8–12
Prerequisite: At least one year of piano study (group or private)
Tuition: $800 per week

Description:
This session focuses on building strong musical foundations for students. Students will strengthen technique, explore musical form and composition, and apply these skills through group lessons and activities.

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–2:00pm

  • Location: Parkside Studio (2139 Taraval St, San Francisco, CA 94116)

  • Eligibility: Students ages 8–12 with at least one year of piano study

  • Capacity: 6-8 students, split into two groups of 3-4.


What a Typical Camp Day Looks Like

Monday–Friday | 9:00am–2:00pm

  • 9:00–9:30am: Arrival & morning meeting

  • 9:35–10:15am: Group lesson (theme-based)

  • 10:15–10:30am: Snack & break

  • 10:35–11:15am: Group lesson (theme-based)

  • 11:15am–12:15pm: Lunch & outing

  • 12:20–1:00pm: Group activity or game

  • 1:05–1:50pm: Closing activity (listening, demo, or performance)

  • 2:00pm: Pickup


Registration & Tuition

  • Registration period: Feb 1 - May 31, 2026. Spots are limited!
